1. In as much detail as possible record the steps it took to create this project in photoshop. Use complete sentences.
First I open a new project on photoshop. I find a text that could fit pictures. I made my name big and press the check on top. I locked the layer and started adding pictures that represented me. After I finishes adding the pictures I started placing the picture on top of my name to be ready to clip them. I went from the bottom layers to the top to clip them to my name. I left clicked to pictures and scrolled until I saw "Clipping Mask". When they were clipped they sized into the letter of my name I wanted it to go. For the pop-outs, I first moved the pictures where I wanted them to pop out and pressed the checkmark. I used the quick selection tool then went to the layer and pressed the masking tool. NOw I finished and saved it then made a copy and changed it to a png .
2. What are clipping masks? How do they differ from just using the eraser tool in photoshop? How might you use them in the future to create more projects in photoshop?
A clipping mask is a tool that clips images to the layer under to make it look aligned. It is different from the eraser tool because when you use the erasing tool it removes everything and you would not be able to get it back. whereas when you use the clipping mask tool it hides it and only shows the name where the images an able to be seen. We can use a clipping mask to make things invisible and to help clean up lines.
3. What was successful in your project? What was unsuccessful and what would you do differently next time to solve this problem?
Something successful about my project was that I learned how to use the clipping mask and magic wand by doing my project.  Something unsuccessful about my project was that at first I was confused on how to start but at the end, I was able to help other people. I was successful in completing my goal of learning about more tools in photoshop.
4. Why do you think? Make sure to provide specific evidence.
I believe that I Exceeded because I am able to help other people and explain how to finish the project. I was able to help my friends complete their projects.
